I came across Saagar in the most unorthodox of ways - on an anonymous professional grapevine platform. He was kind enough to offer a very detailed response to a query I had posted. We got on a call the very next day, and there was instant chemistry between the two of us. As I was a reapplicant aiming for schools which are notoriously hostile towards reapplications, Saagar was positive and also very straightforward about the scale of the task cut out for us from the get go. 

The first step of working with Saagar is a storyboarding session. My session lasted several hours, and was almost therapeutic in nature. Saagar delved into my childhood and extracted examples from my life that I would have never thought relevant from the point of a B School application. Armed with these examples, Saagar helped me weave together a tapestry that captured the very essence of who I was, and which became the backbone of my applications.

The actual applications were intense! Saagar is an unrelenting force, and we would often burn the midnight oil perfecting my essays. I pride myself as a writer, but Saagar helped me realize that every word in a B School application counts. He cut out the fluff from my writing as well as my thought process, and helped me structure my mind, a practice which I have since adopted in every facet of life. Throughout, Saagar was extremely patient with me, even when I sometimes started panicking. 

When it came to the video essay / interview prep, Saagar was simply amazing, and dare I say, somewhat strict. He knew how much work had to be done, and realising I was someone who needed a more hands on approach, he didn’t hesitate to give me a kick on the backside when it was required. We did several mock sessions, and he helped me craft stories covering every aspect / quality that is generally asked in an interview. He dedicated an immense amount of time towards this prep, and was instrumental in me handling my interviews confidently.

I have worked with admissions consultants in the past, and its safe to say that Saagar is a league apart. It’s been an absolute privilege working with him. Over the course of the past six months, Saagar has become a mentor, and more importantly, a trusted brother and friend. He is someone whose opinion I value immensely, and he has always gone above and beyond in order to guide and help me, even in very trying circumstances. He is someone whom I will continue to seek out whenever in doubt, and any B School applicant fortunate enough to work with him is truly in incredibly safe hands.
